The goal of the F.H.A. is to better the lives of the members so that they may in turn, better the lives of their future families. There is plenty of prac- tice for the girls as they are kept busy sell- ing refreshments at basketball and football games, serving at banquets, and at the senior tea. JLmkukif) Leadership is one of the most admirable qualities a girl can possess. Girls must show signs of leadership, have a B average in physical education, and a C average in other subjects to become members of Beginning Lead- ership, taught by Miss Dorothy Mitchell. After one se- mester girls are selected from this group to become mem- bers of Advanced Leadership. These girls, guided by Miss Barbara Kerch, help the physical education teachers with equipment, refereeing of games, and with other re- sponsibilities connected with the department.
