Mr. Grigsby It is with deepest appreciation we dedicate this 1955 Warrior to Paul A. Grigsby, an outstanding man, citizen, teacher, and friend to all. Hard work, friendliness, and the welfare and well being of others above himself have marked his 22 years of ad- ministration in the Granite City school system. During this time and under the guidance of Mr. Grigsby the vocational and academic departments have been united; the annex between the vocational and academic buildings has been con- structed; art and vocal music have been added to the curriculum; the Community Unit District has been established; and new build- ings are being constructed. Not only a prominent educator but also an active member of many civic undertakings, Mr. Grigsby has shown his keen insight into the progress and future of Granite City. To the students of Granite High, the friendly smile and greet- ing from Mr. Grigsby give one a feeling of his sincere interest in young people and their future. =DED1CAT101 4
