Happy 10 be Called the 'dignified Seniors ol G. H. S.', but sad with the thought of leaving the joys of High School. ln Grammar School we had the largest number of all the others. Of the group that started in the first grade only seven of us are left: Otis Hale, Leta lngle, Eugene Cypert, Anna Mae Atkinson, Betty Fowler, Ruth Ranell Sheets and Jerriene Covington. We think these four years of High School have been very eventful. As Freshmen, we had a high enrollment of 49. After living through the initiation, we believed ourselves to be real Zebras As Sophomores we calmly filled our aces in G S The Junior year was full cllmaxed y the Junior Senior Banquet These past three years have been wonderful but this year 1S tops The first party was the Freshman Senior Party This was a big weiner roast given to us bv the Freshman Class before the 1D1t18t10H Next was our Halloween Treasure Hunt The Hunt ended at Jane Crownover s house with a hot dog supper The next important event was Sadie Hawkin s Day On this day we had t e big race and then went to Cameron Park in Waco We had the honor oi being one of the Senior classes to be invited to the Homecoming Football Game of Hillsboro J o lege A this is still early 1U tle year we are looking forward to many more good times Some are the High School Christmas tree Kid Day Jr Senior Banquet Senior Play Senior Trip and of course last but not least we are looking forward to the Baccalaureate Service and Commence ment Exercises We wish to take this opportunity to thank each teacher and all other persons who have helped us to reach this high place of honor Graduates of 1948 We also wish to thank M1ss Simpson Miss Honeycutt and Mr Crlswell who are our sponsors this year for all they have done for s CLASS OFFICERS Vlce President EUGENE CYPERT Secretary JAMES OTIS LYLE Treasurer LETA INGLE Reporter INA MARIE LYLE Social Chairman RUTH RANELL SHEETS pl ' .
