Gn the memorable Inititation Day found us coming to school all dressed 'as little children with signs reading GIVE TO THE M NTALLY DEFICIENT. That night we were judged by a jury under the leadership of the prosecuting attorney Jimmy Soetaert. we glided through our Freshman studies and under the fellowship' of our Student President, Charles Porterg Vice-Pres., Doug Mathis, Mary Riedesel, Secretary, and Joan Andresen, Treasurer. Our Sophomore year we remember our wonderful English classes and Mrs, Sorrells helping us in our every activity and helping to build up our treasure, we collected a large amount of money from our Magazine Sales. Our class won the Carnival praise with Lois Amie and Doug Mathis being crowned 'Carnival King and Queen. All of our money making projects were a grand success in making money, Our noble officers of this year were Frank Sherron, President, Doug Mathis, Vice- Pres.5 Mary Riedesel, Treasurer, and Lois Amie, Secretary, ' Our Junior year found us hard at work raising the needed money to sponsor the Junior-Senior Banquet which was'held at the Old Plantation. One day a great excitement came'when the Junior Pla5ILOVE IS TOO MUCH TROUBLEgunder the direction of Miss Lorene Roller, was on it's merry way to a great success. The class officers were, Jerry Bickley, President, Vernon Rector, Vice-Pres., Bill Muse, Treasurer, Mary Riedesel, Assistant Treasurer, and Mary Bourquin, Secretary. The year ended with a big last day school picnic. The graduating class of 1951 is leaving behind it a record of which it can be justifiably proudl Members of the class held high offices and positions in s chool organi zations . V The opening of the final year saw the class under the leadership of Dorthy Olson, President, Mary Riedesel, Vice-Pres.3 Mary Bourquin, Secretaryg and Helen Johnson, Treasurer, leading the AO members of the class, ' The Senior Play, GHOST WANTED, was a huge success under the direction of MissVRoller. ' As we look back over the years, it makes us sad that we are leaving our friends and our school where we have spent many happy days. These things are to become the fond memories that we will cheerish in later years. They had their ups and downs just as everything does. But we must go on, each and everyone of us, to find our place in life and to help build a better world of tomorrow. V It is'a great accomplishment to have finished twelve f h education is the foundation of our lives.
