Directors Aid Students i- . Kenneth Paulsen Kenneth W. Paulsen, Director of Admissions, has the interesting job of interviewing, admitting, and ori- enting the students who want to become a part of G.V.C. Mr. Paulsen has thousands of pieces of mail passing through his hands every year in an effort to bring together the college and students who are willing and eager to learn. .1 Q1 ' A Robe rt Burham Robert Burham is the Director of Summer and Evening Division. He is responsible for the enrollment and registration of the ever increasing number of Grand View students who take evening and summer classes. Mr. Burham also is a chemistry teacher at Grand View. L ' My .ami fr A . 1 Wadi Ronald Maigaard Ronald P. Maigaard, Director of Student Affairs assists in the guidance counseling program and aids students in finding jobs. This year he is also teaching a physical education class. He works with students in organizing some of the many campus activities which the G,V.C, students participate. z- Q- : t z' . if , 4 Clint Schroeder The office of Development and Planning is new to Grand View this year. Mr. Clint Schroeder is in charge of the new constructions that are going on at Grand View. He also serves as a public relations man for the college. 3, ' l - s.. f R 1 t

tudents Are HurIey's Responsibility Mr. Herbert Hurley, Vice-President for Academic Af- fairs. The duties of this office relate to all phases of the academic life of the college. This includes direction of the relationships of faculty and students to all course work taken in any division of the college. An additional large area of concern has to do with student recruitment, admissions, and records. Development of academic pro- grams and curricula, as well as matters relating to the welfare of students on campus, is an important part of the responsibility of this office. Jensen Is in Charge of Finance The Vice-President for Finance is the chief business officer of the college and is responsible for the prudent direction of all phases of the college operation involving finances. This includes the preparation of an annual budget, the receiving of all funds from tuition and fees and church contributions, the management of the plant and property, all purchasing, and the keeping of accurate records. In addition he is responsible for general manage- ment of the college bookstore, the dormitories, the dining hall, and the student union. Further responsibilities in- volve the management of the Grand View College En- dowment Fund, the construction of new buildings and the purchasing of new property. Each one is responsible to her own superior, and she endeavors to keep his schedule as smooth as possible.
