In biology the student studies the life processes and becomes acquainted withlmicroscopic life forms. This course is a basic requirement for medicine, nursing, dentistry, education, and agriculture. Chemistry is essential for continued studies in many fields, but it also gives the student aprecise understanding of the character of matter and of the methods of science in reaching this understanding. The physical science course is designed for liberal arts students who desire a general course.
