As official governing body of Grand View College, the Board of Directors was responsible fon approving budgets, determining operational policies, approving selec- tion of faculty and administration officers and guiding the future expansion of the college. The Board of Directors has approved plans for several new building projects. By the spring of 1968, there will appear on the Grand View campus, a new 2-story, 20,800 square feet, air conditioned library. Also, plans are being made for the construction of a new two-story science and classroom building to be connected to the present science building. The building will include ten classrooms, one lecture hall, four laboratories, a green- house and ten faculty offices. A women's dormitory to house approximately 120 women to be located just north of the men's dormitory, is planned for completion in 1968. College Employs Pastor I2 The installation of the Reverend Clyde L.Norrgard as a full-time campus pastor was made at Convocation on September 22, 1966. With his donut dunking sessions he endeavored to relate faith and learning in the academic community, to provide pastoral counseling for all students, and to create opportunities for group discussions and voluntary service projects. Reverend Mr. Norrgard came to Grand View from churches in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids. Reverend Mr. Norrgard is an important linkbetween Gra.nd View College and the pastors and churches of the community. He invites students to come to his office any time. He will be glad to talk to you.

apable Men Directed the Year Mr. Herbert Hurley, Dean Working closely together these men weld the business, academic, and student-related aspects of Grand View College into a smoothly operative unit. Since 1961 the Office of Admissions under the direc- tion of Kenneth W. Paulsen, has overseen the activities of admitting, orienting, and interviewing all students as they become affiliated with the college. Our guidance' department has been supervised for several years by Dean Hurley, His duties include both counseling and scheduling of students and keeping files on all attending Grand View. ,G- Mr. Kenneth Paulsen, Admissions Mr. Harry Jensen, Business Manager For some 20 years, students at Grand View have looked upon Business Manager Harry C. Jensen as friend and financial advisor. He is the chief business officer of the College and manages the entire school as designated by the President. In a diplomatic way he solves the varied financial problems which cross his desk. Completing his third year as Director of Student Affairs, Ronald P. Maigaard assists in the counseling and guidance program and aids students in handling expenses. He also worked with the students in coordinating campus activities. TTT. . ml! The office ladies of course! They were confronted each day with numerous tasks, presented to them by both students and faculty. Somehow, though, everything always came out right as long as the office ladies were present' to answer questions and solve problems, They were a very important asset to Grand View College and helped make it a smooth-running school.
