U K President's Message U,K, stands for Unge Kraefter, the Danish phrase meaning 'fpowerful youth. The entire student body of Grand View comprises the powerful youth of our school and are represented on a governmental body called the U,K, Council. The U,K, does not merely represent the extracurricular or social activities of our school but the true SPIRIT of it. If U.K, functions well, Grand View as a whole functions well. The social activities of the college are as important to the educational process as are the classroom activities. With as diversified and large a student body as ours has rapidly become, the problems of pro- viding a unified and pleasurable social life become greater. I believe that the U.K, Council and the student body as a whole have met this challenge quite successfully with their hard work, enthusiasm, and spirit. I wish to thank all those of you who have cooperated by your participation to make this year successful. qw, Mags,

Llnge Kraefter The U.K, is one of the most active organizations on campus. It is an organization of elected stu- dent representatives and faculty advisers. The U,K. has committees organizing formal dances, weekend activities, and publicizing these events. The organization also promotes a better faculty-student relation- ship and inter-student body relationship. This committee of dedicated students and faculty is working to make Grand View a better well rounded institution. OFFICERS--Jane Hagen, President, Jerry Crab, Vice-president.
