Gilman isinrg In the fall of 1961, sixteen mighty Freshmen entered the halls of old Grand View High. The members of the class were: Ellen Babbitt, Jack Benzie, Sheron Burghardt, Kathy Claunts, Jim Edwards, Carol Gundelfinger, Dora Hunt, Carol Knox, Phillip McCune, Nick Nettleton, Jonnie Onederra, Jack Post, Arlie Shaw, Phyllis Steiner, Brill Woolsey, and Dick Yarbrough. Our Sophomore year came with a lot of fun and mischievous schemes. We were really out to make money, we did everything from Beer bottle drives to cooked food sales. During our Sophomore year we gained three new classmates, Ronnie Balderrama, John Hodges, and Maureen Simpson. We lost Edwards, Claunts, and Gundelfinger during the summer. Our Junior year came with high authority and excellent leadership. We ruled the Student Council with four outstanding leaders. The theme of our Junior-Senior Prom was, Moon River, It's success was due to the combined effort of the whole Junior class and our advisor. This year we gained one, Andrea Hopkins, and lost Dora Hunt, Ellen Babbitt, Maureen Simpson, and, John Hodges. At last came our Senior year! Thirteen confident, yet carefree Seniors trod the halls of Grand View High School. They were: Ronnie Balderrama, Jack Benzie, Sheron Burghardt, Andrea Hopkins, Carol Knox, Phillip McCune, Nick Nettleton, Jonnie Onederra, Jack Post, Arlie Shaw, Phyllis Steiner, Brill Woolsey, and Dick Yarbrough. Many different things went on during this year. We had a Variety Show, a very sneaky sneak, and on May 21st, the halls of good old Grand View High School saw us for the last time.
