Just ci Little MorefEditing Rings in the Eors of Rookies Two experienced staff mem- bers and fourteen rookies made the beginning of year look almost impossible for Chief spon- sor Miss Gay Phipps. So, as in any class, the first few weeks were filled with taking notes and lectures, lectures and taking notes! It was then that we found out why we hadto be approved for the class: journalism was com- pletely different from any other department. We each had to form our own ideas about what we wanted the yearbook to look like and even more important, what we wanted it to say to each per- son as an individual. These ideas were formed from interviews, pictures, expressions on the. faces of classmates and even the atmosphere of the school building filled with stu- dents.
