Indian cries are heard as Rita Bell leads juniors in the Victory Call at the first pep rally held in the court yard., A Live Wire We ate mashed potatoes every day, remembers JV cheerleader, Diana Joslin, about Sam Houston cheer- leading camp. Rita Bell, var- sity cheerleader, remem- bers the fun, hard work, and getting to meet different people. The squads attended camp different weeks and received excel- lent ratings. Cheerleading -required more than loud mouths, the ability to jump and learn the words of the yellsg it required responsibility and work. l The main responsibility fell upon the head cheer- leader, who organized the squad and kept them work- ing together as a unit.
