Excitement Mcike Up Homecoming S -l- .C .Q C D an H- o GD :N o cz E L o Bright sunlight provided sunny weather on Thursday when mem- bers of ag classes and study halls gathered wood for the traditional bonfire. That night, while students lined up for the bonfire, Mr. Gilbert pre- pared the torches by soaking them in kerosene for the excited students to carry. Then the band fired up spirit by playing the fight song as they marched, while cheerleaders, students carrying torches, and the enthusiastic crowd followed. The sun glittered from the roof of the old '64 Camaro, donated by Bud Milam as students paid their quarter to pick up a sledge ham- mer and show their aggressive spirit by putting another dent in its shiny surface.
