Big D ci Port of Our World Entertainment in our world was very important. The student body spent quite a bit of money going to Dallas or the lvletroplex for various types of entertainment. Approximately half the money spent for entertainment went for buying concert tickets. Many stu- dents bought tickets and went to concerts performed by Styx, Chi- cago, ELO, Fleetwood Mac, and Black Sabbath. Students also found that the restaurants of the Metroplex were more expensive than the local Dairy Queen or Dairy Bar. They also found it hard to get in a res- taurant such as Bobby lVlcGee's without reservations. Another big entertainment sight for the Metroplex area was Six Flags Over Texas. The students enjoyed going and spending a whole day at the big amusement park. lt was filled with a lot of scary and fun rides. Journalism students find surprise!
