Students Have After School Iobs If you were to walk into almost any business in Grand Saline, you would likely see students work- ing, trying to earn a little extra money or just helping the mer- chant. ' Advertisements Without the help of local mer- chants the school could not have successfully function . Building trades classes col- lected their materials for the house they built from local busi- nesses. Homemaking classes compared prices and purchased their food items from the main grocery SIOICS. The merchants also benefited from school activities. The year- book sold advertisements to busi- nesses in town which was a help to students. Students spent thou- sands of dollars in local stores.
