All were a bit conceited about being freshmen, but the upperelass- men soon swept the feeling away. A few days after school opened we elected class officers: president, Emaline Mohrg vice president, Junior Kendall: treasurer, Jane Nicodemugg secretary, June Guyerg news reporter, Jack Katon. Mr. Kint, a young science and mathematics teacher, was the class adviser. l The money making schemes for that year were collecting tax stamps, having a paper drive, and paying class dues, When we came back in l944, one student had been added, making a total of twenty-three in the class. We were not the lowest class now, because, being sophomores, we could look down upon the freshmen. The first act of the new year was selecting class officers: president, June Guyerg vice president, Junior Kendallg secretary, Emaline Mohr: treasurer, Theola Crosbyf 'news reporter, Natalie Davis. Beginning to think more about the class fund, we had two dances, another paper drive, and a movie. When the time came for the Junior-Senior Banquet, some of the members of the class were honored by being chosen for waitresses and waiters. After three months vacation, nineteen students came back, We had aged considerably, but were still recognizable. During the first week we elected class officers: president, June Guyerg vice president, Emaline Mohr, secretary, Marjorie Jennings: treasurer, Theola Crosbyg news reporter, Charles McEwen. Mr. Jones was the class adviser. We had two more dances, another paper drive, and sold greeting cards. We received a letter from Herff-Jones, a company that sells class rings, end set a date for the1r.representative to come and show us their wares. We turned the meeting into a party and had it at night. After much debating, we finally decided which ring we wanted. When they came, we were all satisfied. The chance we had all been waiting for finally came. We were to have our fling at producing a play. There were fifteen characters in this comedy, WA Case of Springtime' 'We had a very large crowd and received many complhnnts on it, This year it was our turn to sponsor the Junior-Senior Banquets After many difficulties in finding crepe paper, we finished decorating in time for the banquet in May. The theme was South Sea Island, we had some guests from Bowling Green College for entertainment. After everyone was finished eating, we had a dance for the rest of the evening. We also sponsored the May Day Dance,
