This 'year the band really underwent a change, and as a result it was brought into the limelight most of the year. In the spring, on March 27, to be exact, the band and choir joined forces to present the best musical concert that has been presented in the past several years. The choir sang four numbers, and the band took care of the rest of the program. The soloist, Dona-Jean Pal- matier, also sang with the band. The band Was under the very able direction of Mr. George Davis, who made the successful year 'Ji the band possible. To him, a great share of the credit is due and we are proud to have had him with us. Another famous part of the band is the Trumpet Trio, which is also pictured. Row 1: B. Vander Heide, C. White, J. R During the basketball season the club took charge of two of the dances after the games, which was one of their ways to earn their money. In the fall the club made a trip to the new Diesel Equipment Division, which is part of the General Motors Corporation. These engineering students meet together to study all the practical applications of the subjects which they are studying. The club is under the advisership of Mr.iJames Shew, who is also the instructor that sees the engineers through their courses of calculus. These engineers have set a very high goal before them, and there are still years of study before them when they have com- pleted their worlc at Junior College. But that goal will be attained some day, and these students will then remember the start they got here at Junior College. Hilarides, S. Bfake, Mr. Shew, M. Caminer, R. Bullock, J. Huftard. D.
