Vermeulen. They had a record of seven wins and ten losses. The high point of the season was the last game with Creston which they won convincingly. Each member of the team practiced hard and gained necessary experience. Each is hoping to make the Varsity team next year. Thank you, Mr. Vermeulen, for your patience and hard work. They have brought good results.

VARSITZ BASKEIBAU Although the Varsity team had a rather dismal season this year, they have high hopes for next year. There are nine iuniors and one sophomore on the team. There were a few bright spots this year. They beat Ottawa twice by one point and beat Holland Christian at the Civic Auditorium. Outstanding play- ers on the team were Jim Timmer, all-city guard, and Clare Tigchelaar. They were also the co-captains of the team. We would like to thank Mr. Vryhof for working hard with this team and trying to win. Heading the list of sixteen Iettermen are sprinter Sandy Leetsma and half-miler Frank Van Mastrigt. There are also many promising new- comers. Mr. S. Dornbos and the assistant coach, Mr. A. Elve have worked hard to build up this team. We would like to thank them for doing so.
