The Christian has a man- date too, as soldier-citizen of the Kingdom of God, given by Christ Himself, to be His witness. This task must be militant, forceful, pressing, with- out interruption, and present in all activities of life or he fails in his duty. Whether it be in a profession, in business, in the arts, in government or civic organiza- tions, irrespective of the temporal objectives, his wit- ness, motivated by the love of his King, must unflinch- ingly be there. This means combat with the kingdoms of this world, that is, the ideologies of paganism, mo- dernism, and materialism. The Board and faculty of Grand Rapids Christian High School, as representatives of your parents, have been very conscious of this conflict and have sought to equip you for it. A basic training of one hundred twenty weeks with God's Training Manual shedding light in your work had this objective. As Covenant Youth, you are citizens and soldiers of this Kingdom. God has witnessed to you in your baptism, in your home, church, and school, and this is your fire power and it is effective. This battle cry is Repent, Believe and Conquer! We congratulate each one of you on the completion of your course, and our hope and prayer is that you will take this witness into the office, into your higher education, or into whatever occupation God leads you. Daniel De Vries, M. D. Secretary of the Board
