Glenn Senes Head Coach Jerry Reker 1987 will be o year to remember forever for G M Football players, family Coaches and fans Foot- ball fever took over Grand Meadow as the team made its first-ever trip to the finals in the Dome There were some very memorable events and games throughout the season, but even though we couldn't quite put the finishing touches on the season at the Dome, this group of athletes never quit, and with this attitude brought home the prestige of being the 2nd best team in the state of Minnesota and Class C football for 1987 The goals this team set for themselves were of the highest and everyone worked as a team to achieve these goals in developing team unity, each individual has to realize that the success of the team depends upon every team mem- ber making a total commitment for the team Individual accomplishments are important, but they must be maintained in focus with the total team concept This group of football players gave of them- selves for the good of the team, and the memories of this season will be with them forever because of these attitudes We had many individuals achieve important goals along the pathway to the Dome also, and each should be proud of these accomplishments Flowever. the guts of this team was the leadership from an outstanding group of seniors who we will miss sincerely next year Thanks. Chad, and Pat 6 As We Say goodbye to a very, very successful season and a dedicated group of seniors, we welcome the challenges that each new season will bring to us and we look forward to it Our young football players gained experience and maturity dur- ing the past season The foundations to each new season is formed in the off-season weight training and summer dedica- tion Flopefully. with this work ethic Grand Meadow football will continue in the rich tradition which has been developed by past teams We Will give it our best shot again next season, but the memories of '87 will forever be enclosed in our minds and trophy case JtN y high FOOTBALL Rov One Marirt lecy.
