We are now at the altitude of 218 miles and are spinning around the earth at 100 miles an hour. We are now slowing down to get a good glimpse of the Seniors of 1958. We look out of our glass bottomed shlp and Hollywood. She is now working on Yul Brynnerls We also find Ellen Hoff in Hollywood. She fan club of the new sensation 'Goony Herman and find Cleo Anderson in son. is the secretary to the His Little Goons.n In Reno we see Ronnie Iverson In one of his night clubs. He re- cently increased his chain of night clubs by buying the former Green Gables. In San Francisco we find Peg Twitchellwalklngto her job at the Belle View Hospital. She is now head nurse and little doctors. is raising her own As we circle over Houston, Texas, I see Dick Cooper with the larg- est cattle ranch in Texas. Traveling north we go over Wyoming. Here we see Tom Kjeer. Tom ls now professor in the town 'Hole In the Road,n Wyoming. I wonder what all those men down there are fighting for. They all are fighting over a little pointed ball. When we look closer we see Ronnie Weiss. He is the coach of the team. Those earth people sure play funny games. As we look close at the gay city of New Orleans we find Norma Peterson. She has retired from modeling to raise her own family. Oh, remember that Glenn Peterson? He is now in Birmingham, Alabama, busy being the president of the American Tobacco Company. In- cidentally, he gets them free now instead of having to mooch them. Whatls that music I hear in the distance. I see Dlck Grathwohl is leading the former Tommy Dorsey Band. He is now appearing in Miami. There seems to be something wrong with the shlpls engine. We are now going very fast, now welre stopping, I see New York City below us. There are three Seniors who followed in a musical career. They are Mike Wakefield and Faye Kried. Mike is now singing at Carnegie Hall, with Faye as his manager. Mike is really getting famous. He is known as a second 'Little Richard. I wonder what that huge tent is for. It's what earth people call a clrcus. I see Ronnie Hoffman is the great ring master. We should have him on Pluto to control our Zoo Cows. Here in Detroit is the factory where humans make cars. Those cars are sure old fashioned. Jerry Wltham is head painter for the Ford plant. He is just driving out with a purple and green polka-dot Ford. We are now over the city of Chicago. They have a big University there Les Shaw invented a new type of Algebra and is trying to pound it into the heads of the students. Quite a few of the Seniors settled not to far from their home town. Kathy Lauridsen married an I.B.M. executive. Now all their little Spearis are running in and out. Lindee Berning went into politics and is representing Racine in the House of Representatives. Les Bush married an Austin girl and is now head coach of the Austin High School. They have one son. He is only 3l1QW tgll. I see there are even some Seniors that settled in foreign countries. I am now flying to find them. We are now over Paris. There is a woman on the street down there. I wonder what on Pluto she ls wearing. It's Shelby Runkle. She is de- signing a new style called the Wrinkle Look. Next we go to Tokyo. Here we find Robbie Weiss, he is now a great wrestler. He can even take Mighty Mouse. There's a plane, it's going to Sweden. Here we find Karen Anderson. She is a great actress now. We have one Senior left. She is Bertha Dahlke. We find her in Spain. She is working for the head of the Spanish government as a secretary. I guess she has stopped a lot of wars for them. This ls Oscar J. Souphound reporting back to Pluto. I guess the Seniors of 1958 are fairing pretty well for themselves. SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Many years ago, twelve to be exact, our class of eight sturdy pioneers: Faye Kreid, Kathy Laurldsen, Glenn Peterson, Ellen Hoff, Mike Wakefield, Dick Grathwohl, Ronald Iverson, and Les Shaw set out on a journey into the dark wilderness of Education. As we needed a way of travel through these unpredictable wllds, we chose the slowest means of travel, the covered wagon. We started out on our journey September 7, 19h6, with 12 wagons, each named according to one of the grades. The first wagon was bossed by Emma Staley. She did a wonderful job as wagon leader. In the next wagon a fight for leadership developed. Mrs. Lamp- land and Mrs. Dettloff were struggling for the leadership of the second wagon. As a result of this struggle, Mrs. Lampland suffered a broken arm and the wagon was split. The third wagon was run by Miss Skustad who helped our pioneers learn the value of the dollar. Under her leadership we bought a flag which still can be seen if anyone wants to trudge up to the English room. The fourth wagon was led by Miss Johnson, who was kidnapped by someone along the trail. She never was heard from since. The fifth wagon was fortunate in having Miss Roberts as its leader. She was an expert with the black-snake and had a lot of fun keeping the nmulesn in line. Mrs. Mayland kept the sixth wagon well ln hand. She had a blg job pre- parlng the group for the next half of the journey, which would be the hardest part of the whole trip. In 1952, we entered the darker wilderness of nHlgher Education.' Along the way we consolidated with many other smaller wagon trains. By this time we had added about eight more to our growing train. We now had with us Cleo Anderson, Peg Twltchell, Tom Kjeer, Shelby Runkle, Leland Alger, Les Bush, Norma Peterson, Merlen DeRaad, and Llndee Bernlng. Mrs. Hueman was our trall boss. MT. Hennessy scouted for the eighth wagon, and guided us safely into the ninth wagon of our journey. Mr. Fox then took over for the ninth and tenth wagons llucky Mr. Foxi. He guided us safely through the rough trails of initiation. In our tenth wagon we had a chance to initiate the poor freshmen. In our sophomore year we gained four Rob and Ron Welss. more pioneers: Dlck Cooper, Ron Hoffman, The eleventh wagon was under Mr. Severlnis guidance. During this leg of our Journey we became quite art crazy. We put on a play entitled 'One Foot In Heaven' to further our art knowledge. We held a big party ln this wagon ln honor of our departing senlor friends. Some more pioneers were attracted by the party and decided to stay with the train, they were: Karen Anderson, Bertha Dahlke, and Jerry Wltham. The last wagon was the largest and was under the good leadership of Mr. Holland. He saw to lt that the group of pioneers went through Chicago on their way to Graduation Town. Here we would like to pay tribute to the 33 sturdy pioneers who 'passed onn Qwe donlt know where! before the journey was completed. After the group of an tlred pioneers reached graduation town, they took up the harder task of settling in their part of this large and ever-changing country.
