NO PICTURE FFA 1 Football 1-2-3-4 Basketball 1-2-3 Baseball 1-2 Cla s s Play 3 Honor Student 4 THE GOOD SHIP SENIOR It was in the year of 1943 that our adventurlng vessel, frelghted with the pro- spects of a future Senior Class, set out across the unknown seas of school. The crew numbered 18 with Seamen--Wright, Peterson, Finhart, Heffern, Minnlch, Hall, Maley, and Turner who sailed all the way. During these first few years of adventuring we had very good Captains. Each year we changed the name of our ship and had a different Captain. The 'First Star' andnSecond Moonncommanded by Captain Staley, UThe Third Waveu with Captain Bestul and the uFourth Clipper' withstood the waves with the help and guidance of Captain Dugan. The nFamous Fifthn was carried over the rough water by Captain Varest and the 'Sea Going Sixthn sailed the higher seas with Captain Mayland. As we sailed through the seas we picked up Seamen--Nelson and Kuhn. lt was while we were on the nLucky Sevenn that we really gained our sea-legs and were taught the ropes. We sailed from port to port for our classes. We elected our first class captain from a crew of sixteen. During this time we picked up Seaman--Gerasch, Baugh, and Grafe. Admiral Fenneman helped us on our way. The NRol11ck1ng Eightu was the beginning of a Digger crew. we were Joined by Sea- men--Allen, Anderson, Gorden, Holland, Hull, Mayer, and Zlpse. We now numbered twenty-two. we elected class officers and class adviser, Admiral Stromberg gave us the instructions. The uKnotty Nlnthn sailed forth in 1952 to conquer more of the unknown seas. We had Seaman--Hurley, Liebfried, Schwemmer, and Rasmussen with us this time. At inltatlon the seas were sort of rough. Those Sophomore waves rocked us over with embarrassment. At this time Admiral Slindee was there to help us out. We were now pack to a crew of twenty-two. Admiral Severin guided the uSophomore GMHS.H through safely. We started out with a crew of twenty-one, we were joined Dy Seamen--Lowe, and Hueman. This year it was our turn to rock the Freshmen boat at initiation and we did it with pleasure. That spring we had to go on board the Junior-Senior Prom and wash dishes, wait tables and serve punch. The HJolly Juniorn set sail with a crew of twenty-two. This time we were joined by Seamen--Gunderson and Alver. We started out on the high seas by selecting our class rings. Almost immediately we had to look ahead into the future and see the waves coming up in the form of dollar signs for the Prom. So, we were forced to anchor for a few weeks and practice for HToo Young Too Oldn our class play. Vice Admiral Prindle coached us. During this year-Admiral Olson helped us with all our trials and tP0uDl6S. The 'Jolly Juniorn followed the stars until May 1, l95N Here we held a Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom. We dined on Gold Nuggets and danced to the uSa1lor's Hornpipe.u We decorated the ship with many scenes from Cinderella. The best ship of all, UThe Good Ship Senioru set out to sea with a crew of twenty- two, Admiral holland worked with us on this cruise to make the seas smoother. We lowered the anchor in October to select Homecoming King, Harley Minnich and Queen, Beverly Anderson with Nancy Nelson and Charlotte Grafe as attendants. We presented UDon't Take My Pennyn our class play in May. Vice Admiral Gogate coach- ed us. On May 12 the class went for they last time together to Chicago for the class trip. On May 26 we left this ship to start sa1l1ngcnu'1nd1v1dual ways of life. we have this motto: wE'VE CHOSSED THE BAY, THE OCEAN LIES BEYOND to help us. Ship Ahoy8 Off we go, pursuing, with some misgivings the long and uncertain passages. The sailing thus far has been full of enjoyable moments and we thank everyone for giving them to us.

SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY This is station WJZ broadcasting from New York City with your commentator, Iave Gunderson. Last Sunday, June U, 1966, I took my Jet and flew around the States to see the Seniors of 1935. I first flew to the'West Coast to California. My first stop in Cglifopnig was at a phone booth to look for Marvin Heffern's address. I found it right away and quickly went out to his hoje in my speedy Jaquar. I interviewed Marvin and found out he was a champion wrestler who owns a 32 room mansion. His wife is also making her career as a wrestler. I then sped off to Reno, Nevada, where I stopped at the Silver Horseshoe Night Club. Many popular stars entertain here and one of the entertainers was Mary Peterson who is a pop singer and a comedian. She has really been a hit in Reno. I started my jet and took off for Camp Carson in Colorado to see Dale Gerasch, who, through the years, has achieved for himself the rank of a General. He might have been small in school, but he surely proved himself to be capable. From Colorado 1 went to Texas and found one of the Peppy Seniors of 55. Darlene Baugh, the girl who could always do anything with her hair. lncidentally you may be interested in knowing that everyone of her four little girls has straight unruly hair. I then continued my trip in a rocket to South Dakota where I met Jerry Finhart who is making great wealth for himself raising goats on his goat farm. I again boarded my rocket and flew to good old Minnesota, where I would see more Seniors of 55. The first was Charlotte Grafe who is living in Grand Meadow and is the wife of our Grand Meadow Veterinary. She is the mother of a lovely set of twins one resembling the light headed father and the other having black curly hair. From Grand Meadow I went to Rochester. Here I saw Ronnie Kuhn and his secretary, Donna Rasmussen. Honnie is a lab technician and also an executive of the Mayo Clinic. While I was in Rochester I say Irene Schwemmer. She is progressing very well as a nurse at St. Hary's. She is also a housewife and is taking good care of her favorite patient, her husband. I also saw Frank Hueman, who resides in Rochester. He is using his mouth in his career. He is an aucttoneer and can really rattle it off. On my way out of Hochester I stopped at the world famous monkey zoo. Oliver Gunderson, the world's greatest monkey hunter, 1s president of this large concern. I continued my trip and in a few minutes I was in Austin. Here I saw Jerry Allen who is married to a gorgeous blond and is head manager of M1ller's dress shop. On a farm just outside Austin, I found Kenny Hall. He is raising many different crops and enjoying his work. He is also raising a house full of little Halls. I left Austin and went to Albert Lea. J1m Turner and his beautiful brunette wife invited me over to see their five charming children. Jim inherited enough money to keep him going for the rest of his life. He just lies around the house. Before I left Minnesota I put gas in my jet and took off for Iowa. In Ames I found Barbara wright, who is going to college. She told me she has gone through many colleges and thinks she has learned enough, Now she is going to learn more about her family. I drove my jaguar to Teacoch, lows, a little town where Darlene Mayer is teaching second grade. The right man hasn't come along yet, out Darlene is still looking. Next I went to St. Louis, ho. where Harley Mlnnich, his wife and two children are living. Harley is continuing in the sports world. He is coach of one of the best foothall teams in the United States. From St. Louis I went south to Tennessee where I looked up Calvin Holland. He owns one of the biggest duck farms in the world. Cal naturally needed a partner to help him with his ducks so he hitched up with a tall red headed gal. with my trip about over, I went DSOK to New York. I decided to go to the opera at the Met. One of the stars is Beverly Anderson. While she has grown in fame, she has also grown in size. She resembles to some extent her childhood ideal Sophie Tucker. I got word that Eleanor Maley was also living ln New York. I always thought Eleanor had a wonderful speaking voice and she is using it for a good purpose. She is a very popular lawyer of New York. The last of the Seniors of 55 whom I visited was Nancy Nelson. She is one of the famous John Power models. I enjoyed my visit very much to the Seniors of 55 and I think they have all been successful in their various careers. This is station WJZ signing off fromNew York City.
