Q 1 1' f, b ue ' ' n ' ' ' :Q ROCKETS TO N PTUNE Well, here it is 1968 The class of 1958 is going on a trip to Neptune On April 27, we all met at the Milky Way Airport and prepared to take off for a trip to Neptune in our cket ship, The Starlight' Of course you would never find a member of the class of '58 being late As we settled in our seats, the stewardess came to tell us to fasten our seat belts You'll never guess who it was It was that gabbf Janis White, a graduate from way back As Janis talked on and on, a stocky, little co pilot bumped into her To our surprise, it turned out to be Wilbur Ferrin, another former graduate de continued our trip to Neptune as Janis and Wilbur went on about their work We heard the pilot's voice over the loudspeaker and Judy recognized it as an old h f of hers, Bobby arlson So off she went to talk to him About this time, Dorothy Rawson decided she was hungry, so the class went to eat dinner We waited and waited for someone to take our order When the waitress finally came we knew why we had to wait so long The waitress turned out to be Dorothy Beeghly of the class of '57 She always was noted for being late to about all the activities at G M Well, we finally got our lunch, and it was a good one at that Shirlee declded to tell the cooks that the meal was very delicious So we waited while she went to talk to them All of a sudden, we heard a scream Shirlee came to find out what was wrong She said there were two more members of the class of '57 in the kitchen On our way to the kitchen to talk to them, Shirlee told us the cooks were Mick Cowan and Jim Dawson Ve asked them why they were doing this kind of work They said they didn't want people to have any more meals like the ones they had in school We talked to them for a whlle, then we went back to our eats We were talking among ourselves when a frantic woman came rushlng toward us She was trying to find a stamp to ,ut on a letter She hadn't been able to find one anywhere, and she nee ed one p etty bad Carol looked in her purse and found a stamp, which she gave to the woman Just then Donnie said, NSay, aren't you Jean Rutter?H T our surprise, it was She told us she wanted the stamp to put on a letter to Bob She told us he was still going to college and she was very faithful about writing to him, and she didn't want to mis writing today She thanked us for the stamp, and excused herself to go mail her letter we settled down again for a Short nap before we landed Je landed late that afternoon and had an early supper As we passed a theatre, we saw a familiar name on the billboard outside, o we decided to go for a little entertainment During intermission, who did we run into but John Coburn, Gerry Hirschman, and Walt Brownlee They were there to hear John's L l fr1 ndsing.
