DEMOCRACY IN ACTION Under the ca able leadership of our president, Pat Miller, and with the cooperation and hard work oipstudent council members, a unique three branch system of student government, modeled after the United States Constitution, was begun this past year in GLHS. We are proud of the fact that over 100 students serving as study hall aldermen, jury members, or council and commission members have directly been active in this program. Following the theory that students learn by doing, we feel that this program is a big advancement in preparing students for future citizenship. Some of the things that were inaugurated this year were a completely student governed study hall system, a student court, a president's cabinet, and a system of taxation.
