Elder Mohr has been with the Mill many years, running the program there which helps many students pay their way. ir. Oetman transferee] from the nearby Lansing Church School to good old G.L.A. He teaches Bible III and is the principal. The school has benefited from him. Mr. Stout keeps the schools roads clear in the winter. He is a friend of a lot of the students, too. The New Englander, Mr. Beckwith, teaches math, American History, geography, and English II. He is the S.A. sponsor too. Fresh out of gradaute scliool came Ms. Rich to G.L.A. She teaches English, is librarian and is Yearbook Sponsor. If you have put two and two together you probably already know that Mrs. Woodruff is our new bookkeeper. Besides playing the piano she likes to write articles and has had several of them published in the Review. She says her whole family likes outdoor activities. Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff served in the Africian mission field in Sierra Leone where her husband was mission president. Mr. Sotala is completing his 8th year of choir instruction. Among numerous requests for silence, he teaches us how to better use our voices for praising the Lord. Mrs. Link is the cook at G.L.A. She faithfully prepares all our meals. She also bakes bread and sells it, and is in charge of the wire industry. Mr. Black is an alumnus of G.L.A. He came back 4 years ago to teach science and industrial education classes. He enjoys photography, collecting salt water fish and water skiing. Mrs. Grant has survived her second year here at G.L.A. TO LEAD IS TO On the weekend of Oct. 2 a group of 13 student leaders and 3 faculty from GLA went to Camp Au Sable for a student lead- ership seminar. Elder Jake Duran, a Bible teacher from Newbury Park Academy, spoke on the subjects; To Lead is to Know, To Lead is to Follow, To Lead is to Love, and To Lead is to Decide. Other enjoy- able acti- vities in- cluded sing- ing, hiking, air hockey, and letting a deer lick our fingers. FALL WEEK OF PRAYER l p 9 j| ' flp H wR fir k ' W  ' h| H| On Novembei- 8-12, Brad Mclntyre, a young man in his early 20 ' s, from Apple- ton, Wisconsin, came to GLA for our Fall Week of Prayer. We had fun singing and listening to him sing and play his guitar. He also gave some interesting short talks. We enjoyed his friendliness and the way he tried to get to know us all. BIBLE CAMP ' 77 rsSfPf ; ■' - ' ■« w .p r ■:iirn : 1 - ' 9 ' [ pii ' ' . ■f- ' H u r ' 9ii ' P ' Bible Camp this year was held in January. Our quest speaker, Don Williams, centered his talks on Get- ting to Know Yourself Bet- ter, The meetings were highlighted by a rousing chorus of song, led by such students as, Allen Ivey, Sims Clements, Vicki Lew- is, Shelly Swainston, and Craig Blackerby. The big- question at Bible Camp was, What are you? Bong-bong, crack, and slam were heard, along with well vocalized screams of de- light and irritation as the students played air hockey, ping-pong, andfoosball; a few of the varied activities available at Bible Camp. We had communion this year in the afternoon on Sabbath. Tlie tables were arranged in the sliape of a cross, to signify Christ ' s death on the cross. Com- munion was followed by some hours of fun and games- ping- pong, air-hocky, rook, etc. Then a movie was shown.
