On October 31, 1967, David Wayne LeDoux, our fellow-student and friend, was called from our midst. David entered our school in 1958 and was in his eleventh year; a year in which he left many pleasant memories. We the Annual Staff dedicate this annual in his memory.

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE From all observations, this ap- pears to have been another very fine school year. We welcomed several new faculty members. Since our enrollment was up this year, our school was re-classified as a Class B school, effective at the beginning of this 1968-1969 session. Our program of studies at the high school level has more subject offerings now than in past years. Several new subjects have been added to the curriculum. The elementary department has a new centralized library. Your principal and faculty are highly pleased with the addition of a full-time guid- ance counselor to the staff. Today we are faced with greater problems and challenges than ever before in the history of our great nation. Our young people must be prepared to meet these problems. As a newly classified B school, we must continue to improve and up-grade our total program. A beautiful school plant and a well-qualified faculty cannot alone accomplish this goal. It takes an enthusiastic student body backed by interested and conscientious parents. With these factors working together, we can obtain our goal. EDITOR’S MESSAGE The Hornet Staff is proud to present the 1968 edition of the Hornet. We would like to thank everyone who has helped us in this challenge, also our sponsor and the teachers for their time and patience. Many hours of work and fun have gone into the planning and compiling of this book, and we hope that we have gathered many of the fond memories of the past. John Charles Robichaux Editor
