'Ah 41 gow ' 3 The Blue Jays, coached by Bill Sapp, V finished the season with 16 wins and 8 4 losses. The loss of last years seniors left the team rather weak, but by playing heads - up-ball the Blue Jays piled up an enviable record. After overcoming a slump during the season the team was plagued by several injuries. Despite this fact the Blue Jays swept through the first two games of the county tournament only to lose by seven points to Rippey in the closely contested finals. However, the Blue Jays avenged this defeat on the home court in a regular conference game later in the season. Inthe important sectional tournament the Blue Jays breezed by Lohrville, but met defeat at the hands of Jefferson. Although the team this season had its ups and downs, it is safe to say they made a commendable record for themselves, the school, and the community. By playing clean, hard-fought ballgames and displaying good sports- manship at all times, the Blue Jays were good losers as well as good winners. ,, 4 f f ini., Mike Swaney Tea m Manager Back row, L. to R.: B.
