It shall be our purpose to mention a few of the steps in progress which the school of Grand Junction has made since entering the new building in January 1915. The State Department of Public Instruction designated Grand Junction High School as one of the Normal Training High Schools of the state. The course oi' study in the grades and high school has been reorgan- izedg teachers addedg library increased and more equipment purchased for the laboratory. It has been the policy of the Board of Education to build up the equipment of the school gradually and to add some improvement each year. In April 1920 the campaign for consolidation carried, and the school district was increased to 44 sections of land. The name of our school was then changed to the Grand Junction Consolidated Schools. Transportation was provided for over 150 pupils by buying motor busses which have been running successfully for two years. In 1914 the total enrollment was 230. There were 55 in high school at that time. We now have a total enrollment of 420 with 85 in the high school.
