Winter time, one of my favorite times at GJHS. The only thing wrong with it is the fact that all sport activities are inside, but that's O.K. I really like going to the basketball games and participating in the dress-up nights and cheering with the crowd. I always go to the games armed with sunglasses, a hat, a tie, or if necessary a Hawaiian shirt and a lei. Most of the time, orange and black are the appropriate colors to wear. I can always tell when winter is here for good. The boys on the swim team show up one day at school with their heads shaved. People say that the swimmers are crazy, but they always win their swim meets. I think that there is a connection there. Then comes the day when, while sitting in class, it begins to snow. Then the entire class goes crazy. It is fun to watch. The teacher tries to teach a lesson, but who listens? Everyone is busy talking about how good the snow is going to be this year and what ski resorts they want to ski. Then, there are those who have to go out and play in the snow. It makes life interesting at GJHS.
