The rest of rhe week was morked by Fifties Day , M A S H Doy , Punk Rock Doy ond Oronge ond Block Day A mid-week highlight wos rhe oir bond contest held Wednesday The contest consisted of several 'bands' performing to music by pretending to sing and ploy instruments. Tigers march on . . . The Homecoming parade for 1982 was cen-rered around rhe rheme, The Eye of rhe Tiger. The event was held Friday, Ocr. 8, or 4 p.m. on Main Srreer, with Ron Sroneburner serving os Grand Marshall Featured in rhe parade were rhe rrodirional dass floors, banners and chariots, as well as entries from several organizations The seniors won both rhe floor and banner competitions, wirh rhe junior doss placing second and sophomores rhird in both categories. The sophomore chorior experienced difficulties and could nor compere in rhe halftime chorior roce, which was won by rhe juniors.
