Teachers John Krizman and John Sutrina will be retiring after more than 60 years combined service. Krizman has taught for 34 years and the last 20 have been at GJHS. Sutrina has also taught for 34 years and his past 32 were at GJHS. After leaving school, Krizman plans to fish, hunt and farm. Sutrina, on the other hand, plans to travel in the U.S. and O O srory abroad, do both community and religious work, substitute teach and continue to work part-time at the Cooper Theater. He said that he does not want to “loose contact with the young, because the young keep you young.” Both Krizman and Sutrina agree that the association with the students has been the best part of teaching. “It’s been a very rewarding 34 years. I hope I have left something of some value along the line,” Krizman said. Sutrina summed up his years by adding, “Seeing the students being successful and knowing you were a part makes teaching a very wonderful experience.. It’s amazing how much one learns from the students, more from the students than the books.” foculry 93 Secretaries This year, because of construction of the new building, the secretarial staff has been split into three sections.
