The Game; A Time For All One of the major events of Homecoming was the game. Spirit and enthusiasm was raised during the week by special activities and a pep rally held before the game. The game proved to be, to some, “boring” with a final score of 59-0. The Tigers took a wide half time lead. The spirit was obvious by just watching the bleachers. School Life 15

“Tigers Are Still The One” Senior Attcndant-Linda Miller Homecoming Queen-Thcresa DiThomas Junior Attendant-Jennie Pond Making this Homecoming special, it was decided to alter the tradition of floats. Carts and mini-floats were instituted in their place. Reigning over the weeks activities, ending with the dance, were Queen, Theresa DiThomas; Senior Attendant, Linda Miller; Junior Attendant, Jennie Pond; Sophomore Attendant, Brenda Parker. The Homecoming theme was “Tigers Are Still the Sophomore Attendant-Brenda Parker One.” 14 School Life

Homecoming Parade Has Change In Direction The senior class float. One of the many floats in the parade. Banner girls display the banner. Along with other changes, the parade had a change in direction. Instead of starting on 2nd st. and going to 8th st., the direction was reversed. In the competitive events, seniors captured first in the chariot race, balloon competition and tied with the language clubs for first in the banner competition. The seniors were defeated by the sophomores, however, in the mini-float competition. For organizations, Art Club took first. Work Experience Study’s cart was voted as the best.
