Ads have been labeled a necessary but uninteresting portion of the yearbook. In '75, local businessmen provided about one-third of yearbook production costs bv buying ads in the TIGER. High School students have proved themselves large consumers in many areas, thus advertisers have recognized the school yearbook as an excellent place to present their student-oriented pro- ducts. Some businesses, unrelated to teen-age consumers, have bought ads to show their support for 'Junction High. To all supporters, the TIGER extends its thanks . Obtaining transfers caused many problems when transfer slips had to be negotiated. A flu epidemic kept large numbers of the student body and faculty at home during February. Dr. Jarrett often took over nursing duties while Mrs. Brackett worked elsewhere in the district. Several activities and programs were devised by students to pass the last weeks of winter quickly. 1. Pam Miller (legs, Karen Heusser), Lenita Newby (legs, Karen Williams) and Jackie Huff (legs, Judy Wood) amused the student body to the Beach Boys tune I Get Around . 2. Art Sullivan and Rusty Perrin cooked the perfect omelette in Bachelor Survival. 3. Jeff Harlos impatiently waited to discuss schedule changes with Mr. Whitt, who was already busy with a customer , Jodi Horton. 174 1. Dr. Jarrett treated injuries sustained by Armand Hughes in gym class. 2. Miss Root, Monica Diaz and Brenda Chatfield prepared Valentine candy-grams for delivery. 3.J. T. Krizman, Mike Larson, Blaine Dwyer and Larry Minter pinned corsages for Mrs. Dickey, Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. Brackett at the Teacher Appreciation Day breakfast. 175 1. A C. J. H.S. student rode his cycle on the 29 Road hills. 2. Randy Rayn and Mike Guerrie were proud of Randy's $42 scalp job. 3. Carlene Young, Ivy Shelly, Kelly Wilson and Lois Ruzycki finalized data for a Physics experiment. 4. Senior, Steve Cowgill, encountered difficulties when cleaning his locker on the last day of school. 5. Dale Nelson was caught in the act of changing clothes after P. E. 6. Tiger baseball suffered lack of student support at afternoon games. 7. Marian Doerr and Vicki Bailey enjoyed a game of frisbee with Danny Vogel. 176 Students Welcomed Spring Finding classes less attentive as warm weather arrived, teachers presented challenging materials to revive wandering minds. Spring fever replaced the flu, and Sen-ioritis infected most members of the Class of '75. Baseball, track, ditching and just being outdoors headed the list of spring pastimes. The seniors’ school year closed two weeks before other classes were released and they indulged in a final spree before finding jobs or preparing for college. 177 As graduation drew near, seniors reflected on high school memories and the challenges future days would bring.
