d.e. students train on the job Distributive Education students benefited from actual experience by spending at least one hour a day, with a minimum of 15 hours a week, at on the job training. Students increased their technical knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of workers in the areas of distribution. They learned to assume responsibilities and gained ability to work with people, providing the community with some well-trained employees. A. Making pizza is one of many jobs Nancy Cline does at Skaggs. B. Bakery work gave Donna Smith slicing experience. C. While working, Ken Lombardi gained knowledge of prices. D. Finishing his schooling as a student teacher, James Murphy assisted Joe Scaggs with D.E. classes.

curriculum fills various needs Learning to handle and understand traffic regulations came under the Driver Education Department. This department let the students learn the rights and wrongs of driving. With the addition of Advanced P. E. to the physical education classes students got the chance to participate in other activities which regular P. E. students didn't. Bowling, tennis, golf, and studying survival techniques were some of the subjects covered. Proving helpful to many departments, student aides col- umn JUKwgrca lected attendance cards, threaded projectors, and did odd jobs for the office. Being an aide gave them the opportunity to meet more students and receive half credit. A. Many aspects of driving, from highway hazards to tire pressure, were covered by Driver's Ed classes. B. Coed classes gave gymnists an added incentive to win the game. C. Attendence cards foiled many students' attempts at ditching. D. An ensnared Gary Chadez portrayed one of an audio visual aide's trying times.
