Damp weather didn't douse the spirits of the Tigers at the annual bonfire. JoLynn Vote reigned over her Homecoming court. Downtown store windows were painted with slogans to boost townspeople's spirits. Class presidents suffered wet heads at the bonfire assembly. Realization Green fades to yellow, Yellow turns to brown. Now the world looks at itself In dismay; For the gay hues of summer Have become the solemn garments Of autumn. The harvest has yielded its fruit. The rejoicing feast has ended, And dark is fast approaching. Now comes the business Of waiting For tomorrow And still another tomorrow Until tomorrow is yesterday And each day Grows shorter. Fulfillment A year is almost done. Winter's cold is at its height. Despair and loneliness Clothe the soul. As snow covers the ground. Yet inside. Warmth of fulfillment Is just begun. Age looks back to youth And smiles. For the end of a circle Is also its beginning— Yesterday becomes today, And today is part Of tomorrow. So ends a life. And begins the soul's journey Into its eternity. 26 Prom 1971 28 September Tiger and Tigress: Beth Harris, Kent Johnson October Rotarians: Oiline Wineland, Gene Wunderlich Tiger and Tigress: Melanie Bray, Doug Quimby November Rotarians: Cindy Rait, Pat Prinster Tiger and Tigress: Jayne Dyer, Mike Kuretich December Rotarians: Mary Jane Plutt, Rod Pyland Tiger and Tigress: Kathy Taylor, Albert Chin February Rotarians: Kathy Kelly, Steve Jacobs Tiger and Tigress: Janice Thompson, Mark Ridder April Rotarians: Melanie Dunn, Rick Gardner Tiger and Tigress: Wende Scholbe, Tim Hall Calendar March Rotarians: Coni Graff, John Elliott Tiger and Tigress: Polly Bratton, Mark Acker w- January Rotarians: Connie Conner, Mike Mulnix Tiger and Tigress: Lynnette Tooker, Mike Kimmey May Rotarians: Becky Beverly, Brian Brandstette Tiger and Tigress: Becky McNew, Kevin O'Brien Seniors cast members include Pat Prinster, the Pied Piper; John Elliott, Willi; Pat Wagner, Greta; David Goffredi, Klaus; Kris Moulton, Mrs. Beckner; Cathy Ruzycki, Mrs. Fleischer; Richard Rose, Mrs. Fleischer; Gene Wunderlich, Councilor Schmidt; Howard Perino, Mayor Schultz; Camille Guyton, Clara; Brian Brandstetter, Mr. Sager. Cindy burst into life with the freshness of an opening flower bud And the grace of a gentle breeze. Storm clouds never passed over her mind without being blown away By the winds of character. She greeted each day with a song And a smile for those needing it most. Each friend was a special friend — Each an individual. The brightest star hardest to reach was Cindy's goal. The dark of the night couldn't stop her. For she was reaching to heaven. Cindy's life ended in a tragic last breath Almost as the last glimmer of a fiery sunset And her day was done.
