The class of '53 sponsored a coke machine in the alcove by the east stairs to help finance their senior day, and by way of something new played host 1i1'411Al11rIff1',w111..N'm'7'f'f1lI'1l to the juniors at a banquet. The class play given during the second semester was the classical Little XVonien done in the modern dress and setting. To lead them in fun and activities the class chose Raleigh Van Deren, Diane Smith, and Nancy Anderson. As prexv, good natured Raleigh handles his duties with quiet, efficient dispatch. Aiding him in ironing out details and problems. Diane, vice- president, proved an able right hand helper. Dark haired Nancy' had the responsibility of arranging dates, writing letters, and keeping minutes up to date.
