Within these pages unfolds a story of life at Grand Junction High Cjnfzc, MVC-iiapt School-a resume of the never-to-be-forgotten school year of 1947- IKQF l948 and a glimpse of one of the Grand Valley's outstanding indus- tries,' the growing, packing and processing of peaches, in which the youth of today will play a role of growing importance.

Barren and stark against the winter sky, the trees burst into fragrant bloom in the springtime transforming the scene into a veritable fairyland. Equally picturesque are the or- chards of ripened fruit in the fall when the valley hums with the activ- ities of harvest time. To all the growers and workers-the men and women, boys and qirls--who have made peaches synonymous with the Grand Valley, the staff dedicates the l948 Tiger. lhigw W
