The day ended with the awarding ot prizes to the two top teams which had amassed the most points atter the various activities had been recorded. Another tunftilled event was the l-lobo Scavenger Hunt. The gym was transtormed into a hobo camp complete with imitation bontires. All ot the girls came dressed as hoboes. ln the Spring, the girls had tun participating in archery and softball games, At the end ot each year a banquet is held and the otticers tor the coming year are presented. Tournaments in volleyball and basketball are held each year along with picnics, parties, dances, swim- ming, and other activities. The club welcomes membership to any girl in Senior l-ligh School and generally carries about IOO active members. A letter is awarded to those who, at the end ot the year, have ZOO points earned by attending the various activities which are worth 5 or IO points, and by being members ot winning or runnereup teams in the tournaments. The GAA is self-sutticient and is able to carry on an extensive program without charging its members any dues, by sponsoring hour dances, candy sales, and other selling projects. The tacilities ot the new school gym made new and ditterent activities possible. For the tirst time, this year the GAA was host to the Barr and Walnut Junior High eighth and ninth grade girls tor a sports day.
