.. W , 1 l CLASS OF 1918. Eugene Johnson, President Margaret Cosh, Vice President Kate Kelly, Secretary and Treasurer In the heginning of 1914, there was ereated the February elass ot 1918. As we, the members of the elass, entered G. l. H. S., to plaee our offerings at the shrine of knowledge, we were hopeful, eon- fident, and even arrogant. llowever, we soon began to notiee the Sophomores and envy their digni- iicd far-away positions. Then, we caught oeeasional glimpses of the Seniors as they strolled aimlessly thru the eorridors, and we heggan to think it impossible for us ever to rise to their ranks. But, this elass has grown, not in numbers, hut in quality, to the ranks of upper elassnien. A very distinguished elass are we who shall he the first elass in the history of this High School to graduate in the middle oi' the School year or in l ehruary. Vile have now finished three and a half very sueeess- ful years. As we stand on the hrink of heeoniing full-fledged Seniors, we look haek with pride at what we have aeeomplished, and forward with hope and the determination of distinguishing' ourselves in the future, even more than we have in the past.
