The Volante The name, Volante , comes from the Spanish, and means a short writing, usually containing satire. In giving the name to our college paper the purpose was to broadcast college news, and thus to promote college interest. The Student Council The Student Council is an organization of seven representative students elected by the student body. Under the supervision of the faculty, they carry on the social activities of the College. The Student Council has sponsored many activities this year. The most important were the Football Banquet, the BasketballfForensic Ban' quet, and the two Athletic Days. The Student meetings have been original and especially interesting this year. The credit is due to the committee appomted by the Student Council. The Hrst semester this committee was composed of Mary Hobbs, Erma Vlach, Dick Davis.
