Apple served his apprenticeship on the reserves in such an efficient manner last season that the coach recognfzed him to be a valuable football man in spite of his lack of mass. As first string substitute the was the means of putting added life and energy into more than one game. Doc will be a Senior next year and his speed and expe- rience, together with a real football head, will make him one of the best backfield men in the state. Glenn Reed., Husky . Left guard. 170 pounds. First year. Glenn is a man that made football his study. He was able to pick up the game easily and made a strong guard. He was especially good in getting through the line and dumping the opposing backs before they got started Glenn played all season with sore hand, but he was game and stuck to it all the Way through. We want you next year. next year. Walter Buechler, '5Boola . 178 pounds First year. Boola hails from the local high school and he brought everything with him that made him a High School All-State man. Boola was a terror to other teams because he was always getting around the end and getting into the opposing teams plays Boola has plenty of weight and speed to make him the best tackle in the state. We expect great things from him

' .. ,..,.,, Bruce Taylor, Butch . Full-back, 188 pounds. First year. Butch played his first game of College football this year and he showed up with the ease of a veteran. Butch has Weight and a good head, and always picks just the right hole in the line. He hardly ever fails to make the required distance when called. Butch has a good boot and did the punting at times. His place kicks are hard to equal. He has yet several years to play on the team and we will always have a place for him. Lawrence Walker. Hop , Left tackle. 178 pounds. .First year. Walker was one of those men that are always in the way of the opposing team. Some- what handicapped by inex- perience the first of the sea- son, he came out in splendid form, and was a strong mainstay in our line. Wal- ker is very fast and is a good tackler. We expect great things of him next year. 'TEA Clinton John, Clint , Left end. 170 pounds. Sec- ond year. Clint plays with more hardluck than any other man on the team. Last year he was hurt in the first game of the season which this year was duplicated. However, he always manages to get in strong for most of the games. Clint is sure a safe bet on a pass when it is Within seeing distance. He has made more touch- downs on passes than any other man on the team. He is a good kicker, and will be our mainstay next year. We expect a Winning team with him with us next year.

Left end. 145 pounds. First year. Frank is a little fellow, but he tackles like a man twice his weight. Frank got a chance to show his skill several times this year and it was easy to see his ability. He was a wizard in smashing end runs and ,was fast getting down under punts. We regret that Frank was not able to get out for football before this year. He will make a hard player next year. Percy Button, Perse . 140 pounds. First year. Percy was the lightest man on the squad, but he was by po means the poorest. He was always right there with the pep, and was a sure passer. He was a hard work- Roscoe Owens, Red . Quar- ter-back and end. 140 pounds. Lastyear. Red has put in four years of hard work with the squad and he was always there with the pep. He was the guy that always looked easy to the other team until they pulled a play around him, and then they wondered what had hap- pened. Red's there, that's all. We all regret that his weight kept him from being a regu- lar, and we wish him success as a coach. ' ing man and was regular at practcie. He is willing to learn and with a little more weight he will be more than a star next year.
