Third year. Louie played his third sea- son as one of the hardest hitting half-backs in the state, his weight, combined with speed, made it comparatively easy for him to smash any line he was up against. He had almost no equal on long end runs. His long runs were a feature in the Hastings game. He is a good head player, and as a back next year We can hope for a cham- pionship team. Louie is a good passer and is Without exception the hardest tackler on the team. Carl Lesher, Brindell . Quarter back and end. 160 pounds. Third and last year. Brindell has played with us in periods, skipping last year. Brindell was a Wizard call- ing plays at quarter backg he al- ways used his head and never fail- ed to have a play in his mind to Work on a Weak spot. Brindell lik- ed to sluff at practice, but his good playing somewhat redeemed him. Remaining football hopes are doing their best to find another man like Brindell . Emmett Holtz, General , End and quarter-back. 145 pounds. Second year. Holtz is small in size, but big in every other Way when it comes to playing foot- ball. He is a sure tackler and has no equal in getting down under a ' pass. Emmett is a steady player and regular at practice, and We Will appreciate his services next year.

For two years Bud was an All-Star man and was always the fellow they looked out for the game. He was a good punter and passer, and had lots of speed. For line smashes he had no equal and was al- ways good for a long gain on a long end run. Every one of his seasons has been better than the year before, and in the last year he led the team through a successful year. His place will be hard to fill and in his new work at coach- ing we wish him the best of success. Gordon Taft, Gravy . 180 pounds. Second and last year. Gravy was without doubt the best center that has ever put on Grand Island College colors for a number of years. He was tall and lanky and could cover all kinds of terri- tory. He was a shark on catching passes and never made a bad pass to the backs. Gravy was a hard working man and never failed to put in his best licks. We will miss him next year. wid Lester Hahn, Tubby . Right guard. 230 Third and last season. We regret to say that Tubby's football career was limited to three years because we would have liked to have seen what he could do if he had as much experience as others. He filled a hole in the line the space of two men and was always successful in opening up holes for the backs. Tubby's specialty was recovering fumblesg no loose ball was in seeing distance of him, but that he was on it. pounds.

' .. ,..,.,, Bruce Taylor, Butch . Full-back, 188 pounds. First year. Butch played his first game of College football this year and he showed up with the ease of a veteran. Butch has Weight and a good head, and always picks just the right hole in the line. He hardly ever fails to make the required distance when called. Butch has a good boot and did the punting at times. His place kicks are hard to equal. He has yet several years to play on the team and we will always have a place for him. Lawrence Walker. Hop , Left tackle. 178 pounds. .First year. Walker was one of those men that are always in the way of the opposing team. Some- what handicapped by inex- perience the first of the sea- son, he came out in splendid form, and was a strong mainstay in our line. Wal- ker is very fast and is a good tackler. We expect great things of him next year. 'TEA Clinton John, Clint , Left end. 170 pounds. Sec- ond year. Clint plays with more hardluck than any other man on the team. Last year he was hurt in the first game of the season which this year was duplicated. However, he always manages to get in strong for most of the games. Clint is sure a safe bet on a pass when it is Within seeing distance. He has made more touch- downs on passes than any other man on the team. He is a good kicker, and will be our mainstay next year. We expect a Winning team with him with us next year.
