They have laid the foundation for a good school system. to Mr. Louis Van Schelven who has recently retired after having served on the Board for thirteen years and as president for nine. We will try our very best to serve as leaders and makers of tomorrow's world. We will work for world peace and domestic improvements, but this isn't enough. We want today's leaders to understand, and to believe in us - in our ability to carry on where they will leave off. Through this edition of the Blue and Gold, published by the Class of 1957, we hope to give you a picture of the year's activities and to show you that these should make a definite contribution in our preparation for assuming our responsibilities as good American citizens.
