.4 E fp 1 i , ar are fir Seniorr of 1946: During the war our whole national effort was bent in the direction of destruction, the destruction of our enemies' homes, his cities, his transportation facilities, and his armies. As a nation we were successful in our effort. Our enemies have been defeated and destroyed. We now face a world littered with the debris of war. Millions of our fellowmen, allies and former enemies alike, are without homes, families, or food. Hunger stalks almost every country in the world. These are some of the crying needs requiring a solution. Upon your generation lies the responsibility of finding a just answer to these and other problems. I can think of no greater honor that could come to you than to have it said by your friends, He played an important part in straightening out the mess left by the war. Good Luck! Sincerely yours, GLENN H. OLSEN, Principal. ll3l
