KC ,ll Q Cfaad .lrlidfory In June 1950, an eighth grade class of fifteen graduated from Grgsd Gorge Central School--destined to become the future Class of 19 . when we began high school in the fall, a new member joined our ranks, namely.Ky Wiedemann.Shirley Moore was our President that year and our advisor was Mr. Windus. Our only money-making wnunre that year was a bake sale which netted us the sum of 356. We also survived a rugged Initiation administered by the Sophomores that year. In spite of all we went through,we loved every minute of it As Sophomores,we had as our advisor,Mr. Carpenter, and as our president we elected Betty Limbrunner. Our only activity that year was taking our vengeance out on the poor Freshmen in Initiation. As Juniors, we again elected Shirley Moore as our President, and our advisor was Mr. MacLaury. The first event of the year for us was the arrival of our class rings. We took over the candy con- cessions from the Seniors and also sponsered a successful dance in April. We worked hard and long decorating for our Junior Prom. Our theme was HCorcnationH and the King and Queen ---- Ernie Saccaro and Shirley Moore. Now as Seniors with Shirley Moore presiding and Mrs. Barbary as advisor we have been engaged in many money-making projects. Our Senior Play,HAnn1e'Get Your Gun,H proved to be the biggest finian- cial success in the school's history. The cast played to ustanding room onlyn audiences both nights. Aside from the usual number of bake sales we have had several dances and also sponsered Ernie Lin- dell and his Radio Ranch Hands. As we go to press, plans are being completed for our trip to Washington and New York during the Easter vacation. As we stand, facing graduation, we find ourselves regretting leaving these halls in which we have spent many happy hours togeth- er.We'll certainly miss school next year and we leave with sincere gratitude in our hearts to the teachers of G. G. C. S., who have helped us and struggled with us to reach this important goal ------ COMMENCEMENT!!!! s. gli U ,-' v , 5--h . Q rj- L 4 I QI1 1 X' 4 ' it , HQ if A V I ' ' f fs f Q1
