To the next Senior Class We leave the support of the Student Body in your money making ventures. To the next Junior Class' We leave the excitement and pleasure of receiving your class rings. To the next Sophomore Class What could we possibly leave you but-- The Freshmen! To the next Freshman Class We leave you four more wonderful years G To the next Eighth Grade Class' We leave all of those Grade 8 Re gents Exams! To Mr Gibbs We leave all the pleasant memories of our four years spent together To Mr MacLaury We leave the continued interest of your students in doing laboratory experiments. To Mr Givens We leave another Chatterbox Staff as good as the S2 '53 one To Mrs Kellerhouse We leave thirty Prize Speaking contestants Cneed we say more?J To Mrs Hoagland We leave another eighth period typing class and mental the Lab sixteen boxes of typing erasers.D Mr Sliter We leave an air conditioned and sound proof office Mr Bender We leave a brand new gym with all the trimmings Mrs Moore We leave a quiet and orderly Chorus Mr Berbary We leave students who like to take all of those ability tests Clayton We leave a cheerleading squad that will straighten up when through practice B111 Ives wills his height to Timmy Tepfer Walter Kuhn leaves his advice to buy trapping licenses to Ernie Saccaro Phyllis Rion wills her fondness for 'the men' to Lorraine Barnum George Oakley leaves his experience with cars to all future high school OWTISPS Bob Hull leaves Gin, and is he sorry about that Carol O'Hara wills her giggle to Fred Green Bob Moore leaves his cute smiles to John Rappleyea Jeannine Decker leaves her un surpassed ability to go steady to Sue Davis. In June, 1949, thirtv three eighth graders graduated and thus entered the ranks of tnose in Hi n School Fhlrty three then twentf now As our Freshman president we elected Joe Schwarz Con cerninv our inltiatlon I'll quote from the October School per of that vear nOn October Yth we had our lnitiat on were all dressed in absurd costumes and felt very silly, but no one of us would have nlssed it for anythln our Freshman year we had a Hallow n Party for the High School and thought it turned out very successfully In December we put on a Bake Sale, and male the sum of nineteen dollars Cibbs, our Sodal.Stud1es teacher and class advmor all through High School, put us all to work on term papers about cons r vation In February we had a tobagaanlng party in Decker's field, and all of s had a wonderful tlme we put on a gala assembly, highlights of which were Mr ibbs playing his nusi Bender silhouetted behind a sheet, vhile those b hind stave repeated the ettysburp Address Our Hrstyear in High School proved to be a happy one, indeed Our Sophomore year was not so eventful In that year we elected Eleanor Ueln1nger, as our presldent de had our turn at initiating the poor Freshmen In March we presented for Us igh School's enjoyment our interpretation of 'The Big Show Tnere were two big events of our Junlor Year The first was tde arrival of our class rin s, and the second was our Prom, 'Show Boat We spent many long hours working on the gym, and the nivht of June 6th lt looked beautiful, and was well worth all our effort Frank Saccaro and Jeannine Decker were voted Klng and Queen We took over the sales on March 21, and from that day on we've been strlving hard for our goal of 32200, for the Senior Trip On March 27th we had a Faculty vs High School Basketball Game, and everyone enjoyed it We made sixty dollars, and so began the building up of our treasury we had a dance 1 April, which turned out to be a success We started having the Bake Sales which have since brought in quite a tidy sum Now we are in our Senior y ar at G C S , and a planning our Senior Trip We started the year off by elect ing Eleanor Deinlnger as our president for the third consec utive year For the e past months we have been a very busy class This autumn, with the High School, we took part in a big Election Day Parade There have been the annual card and magazine sales, movies, Bake Sales, a Pancake Supper, a Spaghetti Supper, and Dances In November, we all had a grand time in presenting our Senior Play, nMy Sister Eileen, under the drecdon of Mrs Kellerhouse, and this netted us a large sum 8355 to be exact Now we have a pretty full agenda Com ing up there is a Senior Ball, a Circus and the continuation of our Ice Cream, Soda and Candy sales we now are looking forward to our Graduation, and for more than one reason for on the morning following, June 23rd, twenty happy Seniors and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gibbs will be leaving for N.
