I' 3 5 I , - X gg ' fHN- 'igilllrrv 7 Prophecy In tHE year l962, my husband and I decided it was about tive we had a vacatlon I suvge ted to 1in tHHt NE take an availan RPUISG He tnought tnis was an excellert Idea so 0 ere Je got to New York ity and stood by tue ticket ol 1ce ready to buy our tickets You'll never gue s who w s selllne tlCK6tS w ll, it was Jean lattice, an old class chum from the clas of '92 Jean lookel very well and told us she llked her job ir Few York very mucn As we were boarding tne beautilul ship whlch we were going to nawaii on, I got tne surpri e of my i e There on tre deck stood the captaln of tde to Art for awhl e and we found out that he had just divorced is ei nth wife Oh well, Art always did like varietv we were strolllng across the deck when I looked over ln the corner and saw a little snort man looking through a great blg microscope which was twice his size As he turned my way I was shocked to see that he was Gerhard Kuhn, the boy in my class who was always so interested in Qclentlfic Research I talked to him for a moment and he told me he was studying the mystery of sea water what makes it wet The dinner bell rang and as we vere sitting down to the table, a man was announclng the entertainment for the evenlng I heard the name Nancy Jacobs mentioned That name sounded very familiar to re so I went back st ge and looked Nancy up Sure enough it was the same girl I had gone to school with Nancy told me she was happily married to a dancer also on tne ship She liked her Job and told me to be stre to stay and see the show I promised her I would That evening as my husband and I were sittlng in the lounge playing cards, there was a sudden downpour of raln The boat started rocklng furiously and I got deathly sick My husband came back with both a doctor and a nurse I heard the nurse squeal out JEAN and who should it be but the girl in my class who always wanted to be a nurse Kay Plndar and that's not all the doctor was Richard Naso They both graduated from Syracuse University about six years ago and they like their professions very much The next mornlng my husband and I were sittlng out on the deck and two men that looked very familiar walked past me They must have recognlzed me too because they kept looklng at me Finally they came over to me and said UH1, Jean, remember us?H I did at once It was none other than Hank Oliver and Herman Schwarz I asked them what they were doing and Hank told me he was thinking very seriously about buying a pineapple plamumion in Hawaii Herman is now a very famous golf player He told me he got n1s start by caddying summers up at tne Stamford Country Club He told me he was taking a little vacation to get rested up for hls next tournement The next day the ship pulled 1nto Hawali As we were walking down the plank, a woman bustled by me I ran to catch her because I recognized her immediately as my classmate in both high school and college, Shirley Winnie She sort of snickered when I asked her what she came to Hawaii for I guessed it though She's still chaslng those Ploutz Brothers around She said she still d1dn't know whlch one she really wanted When we got off the boat four people started yelling my name I looked all around and finally saw two more of my former classmates namely Jo Dresser and Ella Rappleyea. With them were their husbands Norman Blakeslee and Bob Hubbell. You can guess which one was with whxch. They told me that the four of them got together and decided to take a little vacation. I counted up the people I had seen and it included every single person in my class. Boy this trip was really worth while!l!!!!
