BLESS IS THQ? W Graduation is tomorrow' Yesterday it seemed like a fantasy Graduation is tomorrow' We suddenly realize it is reality Tomorrow we part with school friends, And all that we hold dear Teachers, classes, and school books Yesterday we thought they were drear Tomorrow we say a last good bye To all our dear schoolmates Tomorrow we go our separate ways As we pass from these high school gates Tomorrow we will take up The problems of a bickering world Our high school quarrels seem minor As major ones are unfurled Yesterday we were children, Into adults we turn tomorrow, For with all its Joy and sorrow Graduation is tomorrow' Grand Gorge, New York January 18,1949 To the Senior Class of 1950, Each year the president of the Senior class takes pen and paper and begins to develop a delightful hatred for the class who elected him If he is unfortunate enough to have neglected to remember the name of his nominator, this rapidly growing emotion turns itself upon the near est available target The target is simple it is time to write the advice to the Juniors It would be very simple to list the conventional virtues and and excellent obedience This would be very boring to you and you would think that these two subiects were overdone Nevertheless, I think I will try to give you what advice I can Next year will be your last in high school THINK IT OVER One year remains before you must break many of your school friendships The friends with whom you have spent the last twelve years will become scattered and separated No longer will you be able to take part in school activities Have fun in school next year The Senior trip will be one of the most memorable events of your high school Take part in all possible activities and make enough money to have a wonderful Senior trip Be sure to be ready for the Regents you will take in June, '50 Very truly yours, Phillips Vanvalkenburgh Pres1dent,Sen1or Class 15 I suggest that each Junior become a shining example of studious habits I I ll' I
