CLHSS HISTUHU The present Senior Class of Grand Gorge Central School graduated from the eighth grade with a membership of twenty. Through the years, we have lost only seven members. In our first year of high school, we were just learning about the privileges and responsibilities of becoming members of the Senior High School. we elected Sue Dresser as our class president. That year was uneventfull but for the Freshman initiation. we escaped this event without too much difficulty. We lost four class members that year. Our advisor was Mrs. Ives. as Sophomores we were one more step up tra ladder to success and that uch nearer graduation Now it was our turn to mane the Freshmen worry and fret There were no other events that year either We elected Michael Marsh as our class pres dent We lost two more class members, and Nr Ives was again our advi or Ne entered the Junior year with the original Sophomore class Me had one big event that year, our Junior Prom This was a great success we elected Mae Barnum a our class president that year Mrs Ives was our advisor until November and then hiss Boomsma took over her responsibilities Now in our last year at Grand Gorge Central, we find our time is always occupied, and there is never a dull moment This year we have taken over all money making projects W started out the year by electing Phillips Van Valkenburgh as our president Ne planned and carried out many dances, which were great successes Our Senior Play UGirls Are Lime That, under the direction of Miss Griffin and the aid of Miss Boomsma, was a huge success We were engaged in selling statione y, Christmas cards, and Fveryday cards, plus the annual sale of magazines Miss Boomsma has been our class advisor during our senior year we are all dreaming of graduation which is also in the near future After we graduate and each go a different way, we shall look back at these pleasant times we have had together , these past four years 10
