Grand Gorge, New York February 29, 1948 To the Senior Class of 1949: Each successive year the president of the Senior Class takes pen and paper in hand and begins to develop a delightful hatred for the person who nominated him. If he is unfortunate enough to have neglected to inscribed the name of his supporter upon his memory in indelible letters, this rapidly growing emotion turns itself upon the nearest available target. The reason is simple-it is time to write the advise to the Juniors. Pwfffwf It was a hot June afternoon in the year 1952 I had Just completed mv work and had gone out into ou. back yard to relax under the large Elm tree which shaded our house when accidently I rubbed my class ring Suddenly there was a f sh, and there was Barnum and Baily's Band Jagon Seated at the very top was Clifford Rikard showing monkeys how to eat peanuts Somehow he happened to recognize me and stopped the wagon After shaking my hand, he told me he had become a member of tre circus after Marie Deininger refused to marry him As we talked I noticed a familiar face which was on a poster on the side of the wagon As I drew nearer I realized that it was Jack Ouderkirk, who was running on the Democrat ticket for president Clifford told me that he was expected to win because of the large number of woman votes he held, due to the fact that.he is a bachelor and there is still a man shortage He also informed me that Andrew Davis was now coach of the Brooklyn Dodgers, who are still loosing our Freshman Initiation, in now running a large Beauty Salon on Fifth Avenue, New York City This has resulted in an increase of Nig Manufacturing Phyllis Barnum has graduated from Brooklyn hethodist Hospital and 1S now private nurse to Dick Pickett Josephine Fredenburgh has married Robert dikard and is now living in a modern cottage in Johnson hollow She is often seen driving a hurcury automobile through the fields Deloris and Anna, now Mrs James Breseea have started a bakery shop in Prattsville called HThe B B , for Blodgett and Bresee Doctors are rushing all over Prattsville Clifford also informnd me that he attended the double wedding of Patricia Moore and Laura Van Valkenburgh as he was passing through Grand Gorge They are still wondering if they have the right Eob II . . . la '! .
