M The present Senior Class of Grand Gorge Central School graduated from the eighth grade w1th a member shlp of twenty Although we have lost more than half of our members we are st1ll a strong, happy, and cooperatlve class In our first year of high school we were Just learning about the privlledges and respons1b1lit1es of becoming members of the Senior High School elected Jack Ouderkirk our class president Ne lost seven members this year The first year was very uneventful but most of us were excited and maybe a little worried over our initiation We all escaped this without too much humiliation but we now felt as though we Nbelongedn Ne planned a very successful Halloween party in honor of the Sophomores advisor, Miss Grulich, helped us to adapt ourselves to our new life Sophomores we had a little more to look forward t were now one more step ahead and it was our turn to watch the Freshies squirm and worry Ve were planning their initiation we planned a sleigh ride but due to weather conditions and circumstances beyond our control we were unable to go Jack Ouderkirk was again elected our class president As Sophomores we were also engaged in selling magazines Ve lost one member th1s year Mlss Bouton was our class advisor Ie started our TUA10F year with eleven members but lost one at the end of the term Our president this year was Joseph1ne Fredenburgh The outstanding event of this year was the Jun1or Prom in honor of the Senlor class Buss Bouton, now Mrs Sperry, led us through a successful year Now in our last and flnal year at Grand Gorge Central, we f1nd our t1me is always occupled and there is never a dull moment This year we lave t taken ovex all money maklng progects Ie are all working l1ke mad to make enou h money for our Senlor tr1p Ve started the year off on our best foot by elect1ng Jack Ouderkirk our presluent Je planned and carr1ed out several dances wn1ch were a success At our Chrlstmas Ball everyone engoyed themselves e beautifully decorated gym Our Sen1or Play, Hwedding Spellsu, under the direction of Xiss Griff1n and the a1d of Dlck halone, was a huge success Ne all engoyed the practices and rehe sals as much as our audience engoyel our final performance Je were also engaged in selling statlonery, Chrlstmas cards and everyday cards, and magazines This took up much of our t1me le are all eagerly look1ng forward to our Senlor trlp Ne put on a Bake sale wh1ch helped us to earn some more money Our advisor, Liss Grullch, helped to ease the worry and helped to make our Senior year pleasant le are all dreaming of graduatlon which is also in the near future After we graduate and each one goes a different way in life, we will look back at these pleasant times we have had IO . 1 . n . o .
